My wife and I decided it was time for us to spruce up our mailbox.
So here is our story.
1. I pressure washed the mailbox (Don't have to use pressure washer, but hose it down and wash/scrub it real good before painting)
2. We took the numbers off to polish them. (Do not paint the numbers-use Brasso)
3. I had to introduce my wife to Brasso. She had never used it before. We used Brasso to polish the numbers and handle. I also had to introduce her to elbow grease.
4. We trimmed the shrubbs around our mailbox.
5. Took the Red Flag Off
6. Unscrewed the mailbox from the post - but this isn't really necessary
7. Bought the black paint and red paint as described in this section.
8. Spray painted the mailbox (black). Be sure and protect cement or surrounding area from spray. Spray painted the red flag (red)
9. Remounted the red flag and numbers.
10. Received $100 from US Postal service for taking care of our mailbox (just kidding)
THINK ABOUT THIS
You know every little bit helps, and you can help keep our neighborhood up by taking pride in the little things. Little things may not seem like big things but cummulatively they add up. Lets keep our proprerty values up by paying attention to the little things. THIS IS SOMETHING YOU CAN DO!
Thanks.
